Uni Network’s mission is to develop 19 local Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) networks in South East England that meet the needs of their communities, and working together, influence public policy.
Uni Network is a regional organisation dedicated to strengthening the BME Third Sector in South East England as a positive force for change. It provides a platform for regional, sub-regional and local BME organisations and also for organisations that support the aspirations and needs of BME men and women to enable them to influence policy making.
As Uni Network develops it will:

Down in the Dumps: Minority Ethnic Child Poverty in South East England, a major new policy briefing by Uni Network on child poverty among minority ethnic communities in South East England, states that Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are enduring higher levels of poverty, along with some refugees and asylum seekers. The report argues that housing is a significant issue in many parts of the region, with high levels of overcrowding and homelessness amongst minority ethnic individuals, compounded by decreased levels of social housing, and high rents.
